Prime Minister of Thailand Prayut Chan-O-Cha, who arrived in India for a three-day on Thursday, was accorded a ceremonial welcome at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Friday morning.
Chan-o-Cha will hold extensive talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday. The two leaders are likely to discuss expansion of maritime security cooperation, threat of terrorism, boosting trade and investment and situation in Soth China sea during
PM Modi will host a lunch for his Thai counterpart on Friday.
The two sides will also deliberate on stepping up cooperation in trade and tourism sector.
The Thai PM will visit Bodh Gaya, a major place of pilgrimage for Buddhists in Gaya before returning to Thailand on June 18.
The Thai Prime Minister is accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising the Deputy Prime Minister, five senior ministers and a 46-member business delegation.
