The government has now launched a new students registration module for Indian students, who go abroad to study, to keep track in case of an emergency.

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Thursday, tweeted about the new module with the link to the website for registration.

Around 2127 students have already registered themselves in the new module since the tweet.

The website is for grievance redressal, where students and other Indians who stay abroad can address their issues in case of any emergency.

13241 grievances have already been registered and over 8260 have been resolved. A total of 35569 users have been registered on the website.

“Only grievances falling under the consular jurisdiction of concerned Indians Diplomatic Mission mentioned in the grievance, filled in by the grievant, will be entertained by the Indian Diplomatic Mission,” the website states.
