Retrieving PoK Is India's 'Unfinished Agenda', Says Jitendra Singh
Reacting to Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s statement at the United Nations describing ‘Kashmir’ as the nation’s ‘unfinished agenda’, Minister of State in Prime Minister`s Office (PMO) Jitendra Singh on Thursday said that India`s only unfinished agenda with Islamabad is to retrieve the part of Jammu and Kashmir that continues to be illegally occupied by the nation.

Reacting to Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s statement at the United Nations describing ‘Kashmir’ as the nation’s ‘unfinished agenda’, Minister of State in Prime Minister`s Office (PMO) Jitendra Singh on Thursday said that India`s only unfinished agenda with Islamabad is to retrieve the part of Jammu and Kashmir that continue to be illegally occupied by the nation.

“As far as India is concerned, with regard to Jammu and Kashmir the only unfinished agenda with Pakistan is as to how to retrieve the part of Jammu and Kashmir which continues to remain under illegally occupation of Pakistan even after 68 years of partition and independence,” Singh said in a statement today.

“And that is also the position stated in the unanimously passed resolution of the Parliament in 1994,” he added.

Earlier on Wednesday, Pak PM while addressing a session at the United Nation said,”The issue of Kashmir is unfinished agenda of the UN and Pakistan would continue to support the people of Kashmir morally and diplomatically.”

“Right of self-determination is the basic right of the people of Kashmir under UN resolutions and we will raise this issue at every international platform,” he added.

He also urged the newly elected lawmakers to provide all sort of support to the people on the other side of the LoC.
