The Pass Percentage of Maharashtra has dipped this year in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination. Pune has been ranked third among divisions.
The SSC examination was conducted in the month of March and the overall pass percentage has declined by two percent this year in comparison to a 91.46 percent last year. This year it has come down to 89.56 percent.
The state registered a marginal drop of 1.90 percent as compared with last year with a pass percentage of 89.56. Among the nine divisions in the state Pune finished third with a pass percentage of 93.30, after Konkan with 96.56 and Kolhapur with 93.89. While Latur was at the bottom. There was dip in pass percentage where all the nine divisions has witnessed.
Girls outperformed boys in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination in Maharashtra, with a pass percentage of 91.41 as against 87.98 posted by boys. Around 16.01 lakh students appeared for the SSC exams this year, out of which 8.66 lakh were boys and 7.34 lakh girls.
