Mathura Station Head Officer (SHO) Santosh Yadav, who was killed shot dead by the protestrrs during the violent protests in the city, was cremated on Saturday at his native place in Uttar Pradesh’s Jaunpur area.

According to the post-mortem report, Yadav died after a bullet hit close to his nose and passed through the skull.

Jaunpur Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP K.P. Singh, District Magistrate Bhanu Chandra Goswami, Superintendent of Police Rohan P. Kanay were among those who paid tributes to the brave policeman.

Yadav, whose mortal remains were brought to his native place on Friday night, is survived by his wife and a nine-year-old daughter.
