A Hyderabad court on Monday adjourned the hearing of two cheque bounce cases filed
against Indian liquor baron Vijay Mallya by GMR Hyderabad International Limited till
The court also directed GMR Hyderabad International Limited to submit fresh address of Mallya and the company.
Earlier on May 25, the court had adjourned the matter for hearing till June 6.
The III Special Magistrate Court here on May 9 had posted its order on the quantum
of sentence for Mallya, who was convicted in the two cheque bounce cases.
On April 20, the court had convicted Mallya and others in connection with bouncing
of two cheques of Rs 50 lakh each under relevant sections of Negotiable Instruments
It had issued warrants directing the police to produce Mallya before it to
pronounce the quantum of punishment, as the industrialist, who left the country,
was not present in the court.
