Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Saturday Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi to discuss the situation of growing water crisis in the state.
Fadnavis said that he apprised PM Modi of the drought situation in the state, wherein 11,000 more villages are facing a severe water crisis.
The CM said that the Centre has assured more assistance to the state that is facing its worst drought in half-a-century.
“Centre has been helping us and has also assured more assistance if needed to deal with drought situation,” he said.
While assuring that a plan to conserve water will be rolled out soon, Fadnavis said,”Discussed short and long term measures to tackle drought situation. Also rolled out a plan to save water as monsoon is approaching.”
