Jabalpur High Court Questions Centre On ‘The Flag Code Of India 2002′

The Jabalpur High Court has cracked down on state and central government for not hoisting the tricolour daily.

According to reports, HC has issued a notice to state and central and has sought reply from them on ‘why the tricolour is not being hoisted every day on all government offices, schools and colleges?’

The crackdown from HC came in response of a petition filed by a Bhopal resident.

The petitioner is a retired army man who had filed the petition under the ‘Flag Code Of India 2002′ rule.

The Indian flag code is a set of laws that govern the usage of the Flag of India, according to it hosting of flag by government offices is a must on daily basis.

The High Court has asked the centre and state governments to file their reply within next 4 weeks.
