Ahead of the International Yoga Day celebrations on June 21, the Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) released the ‘Common Yoga Protocol’ to ‘create awareness among people to get harmony and peace through Yoga.’
‘Common Yoga Protocol‘ is a 50-page booklet that contains brief history, general guidelines and information about various yogic postures.
The protocol lists prayers to be recited before and after performing various exercises.
It also contains the technique and health benefits of performing each ‘kriya’.
The protocol has been prepared by a committee of Yoga experts and is an improvised edition of last year’s Yoga Protocol.
