Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy went on a drive down memory lane as he rode in an auto with a friend after nearly 21 years, thanks to a little misapprehension.

Apparently, on Thursday, Murthy and his friend both expected the other to bring a car. However, when neither of them did, the duo ended up being stranded without a ride. Murthy was to attend the International Literary Festival as chief guest.

Finally, the two decided to share a ride in an autorickshaw. Murthy didn’t expect it when nostalgia struck during the bumpy ride to the venue.

Murthy spoke of the incident at the festival, tracking back to the days when he shared “numerous rickshaw rides” with his wife, nearly 21 years ago!

He described it as “marvellous experience” as he stressed the importance of staying in touch with one’s roots. Murthy’s experience soon went viral on social media as people appraised his simplicity.
