According to media reports, ahead of assault and mutilation of martyr Mandeep Singh, Indian Army retaliated with fire assaults, in which at least 40 Pakistani soldiers were killed in a strike on October 29.
According to news reports of CNN-News18, in the strike conducted on October 29, maximum damage was done in Keran sector where four posts of Pakistan’s army was badly hit by Indian Army.
Indian Army soldier Mandeep Singh, who was killed in a gun battle with Pakistan near LoC in Macchil sector of Kupwara area of Jammu and Kashmir was cremated on October 30 in his village in his Haryana. Mutilated by militants near the de-facto border with Pakistan, his entire village mourned the loss of Mandeep and called for revenge on Pakistan.
As a mark of their loss, the festival of lights, Diwali, took place in darkness in Mandeep’s Antehri village in Kurukshetra district, about 100 km from Chandigarh.
