Alumni of some of the top business schools will provide free counselling to aspirants in the NCR region at a day-long camp at CyberHub in Gurgaon on Thursday.
The students seeking to pursue one year MBA courses will get tips to reach IIMs and other top B-schools from the institutes’ admission teams, said Shikhar Mohan, the founding chairman of the oneyearmba.co.in organisers of the session.
He said the counselling fair would help students learn about eligibility requirements for different business schools; clarify doubts about essays and recommendations; post MBA career opportunities, placements; foreign study tours and financial assistance, education loans and scholarships.
“Due to lack of awareness, many students take admission in wrong schools, and find it extremely difficult to get the right worthwhile placement later,” he said.
He said a majority of the top-50 MBA programmes, ranked by the Financial Times are now one-year programmes.
