Even after high tension between India and Pakistan, ‘Samjhouta Express’ a train connecting India and Pakistan is still running as per its schedule.

Amid tensions between the Indo-Pak border, Pakistan has violated ceasefire several times. But despite the fact, the train connecting two nations is still functioning as per its schedule, which has shown how big-hearted India is.

‘Samjouta Express’ is commonly called the Friend Express, is a twice-weekly train – Tuesdays and Fridays – that runs between Delhi and Attari in India and Lahore in Pakistan.

The train was started on 22 July 1976 following the Shimla Agreement and ran between Amritsar and Lahore, a distance of about 42 km.

Here is an exclusive video of chat conducted by News World India correspondent Pranjali with the passengers of ‘Samjhouta Express’, who arrived India from Pakistan by train.
