Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to launch the ‘Urjaa Ganga’ project during his eighth visit to Varanasi on October 24, a 1500-km-long gas pipeline project costing Rs 1,000 crore which will provide piped cooking gas to residents of Varanasi within two years and, in another year thereafter, cater to millions of people in states like Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha.
