A 3.1 magnitude earthquake struck Assam’s Karbi Anglong region at 5:30 AM on Tuesday morning.
According to Indian Meteorological Department, the epicentre of the quake was located at 25.6 degrees North and 93.2 degrees East and it originated at a depth of 10 Km.
Also, another earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale struck Myanmar-India border region at 7:11 AM. The quake originated at a depth of 100 Km.
No loss of life or property has been reported.
