Laxmi Yadav, a differently abled woman, has requested the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, for euthanasia.

Laxmi, who is a resident of Bhopal has written to Narendra Modi, President Pranab Mukherjee, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, and Maharashtra Chief Minister Shivraj Chauhan to grant her request.

“I couldn’t get a job despite a 3% reservation for specially-abled people. The Madhya Pradesh government has launched many yojnas yet, I didn’t get any benefits,” says a dispirited Laxmi Yadav. Laxmi’s request stems from her struggles at the job front due to her condition despite her securing an M.Phil and an LLM degree.

Responding to her plea, state minister Vishwas Sarang has offered her vouchers that would help Laxmi with government jobs. Sarang has also extended help in case she needs needs any with entrance exams.
