The Bombay Municipal Corporation on Friday has alleged that comedian Kapil Sharma, who has accused the organisation of bribery for the construction of his office, had been doing so illegally. The BMC has asserted that Sharma was asked not to continue with the illegal project however, he refused to listen. According to a News Nation report, a BMC Official, Krishna Vishwas Rao had said, “The corporation is ready to swift and strict action against the culprit, if named.” “Giving bribe is bigger crime than taking it,” she said. The BMC official further added that they had even sent a notice to Sharma to put a kibosh on the project but he did not back down. “If he had any issues, he should have come to meet BMC commissioner, just like other celebreties do,” Rao added.
