Amid SP feud, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav met the state’s Governor Ram Naik to brief him him about the prevailing political situation in the state. Akhilesh announced his majority in the state and handed over a Letter Of Support to the Governor.

The meeting gained significance as an intense feud has cropped up within the ruling Samajwadi Party since a few weeks.

Earlier on Wednesday, an Akhilesh loyalist- Pawan Pandey was sacked for the party on charges of “indiscipline and harassment”.

Akhilesh has lately been having differences with his uncle Shivpal Yadav. Shivpal Yadav is the brother of party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav. Shivpal, who used to be a cabinet minister in the state government, was sacked by the chief minister recently.
