The Delhi High Court on Thursday pulled up the Punjab government for allowing crop burning in the state.

The high court said, “We warned you about air Pollution and you did nothing.”

The court slammed the Punjab government and said that Delhi and its adjoining areas had to cancel school and had to bear huge economic loss because of the toxic air pollution since last two weeks.

It was not just Delhi and adjoin areas which suffered because of the buring of crops in Punjab, other states too had to breathe the alarmingly toxic air for so many days, according to the high court.

The Delhi High Court will continue to hear the issue of landfill sites in Delhi later today.
