After successfully spearheading the campaign for entry of women into Shani Shingapur temple and Nashik’s Trimbakeshwar temple, Bhumata Brigade activist Trupti Desai is planning to discuss the entry of women into Sabrimala temple with the temple trustees.
According to reports, the activist is now planning to have a meeting with Travancore Devasom Board officials in May to discuss women’s entry into the Sabrimala temple.
“After we enter the Haji Ali dargah on April 28, we plan to come and meet the Sabarimala trustees in May and request entry for all women in the temple,” Desai told a leading English daily.
Earlier this month, Desai along with other women activists, offered prayers at the inner sanctum of Nashik’s Trimbakeshwar temple, where entry of women was forbidden for ages.
Trupti is set to enter Mumbai’s Haji Ali dargah on Thursday.
