Gurugram Police on Saturday arrested 50 persons at MG Road under its ‘Operation Romeo Returns’ programme, launched to curb eve teasing incidents in the city.
Around 20 cops, dressed as civilians, undertook the operation that was launched in light of recent increase in incidents of eve teasing in the city.
“Nearly 50 men have been arrested within two hours of the operation. Following increasing number of complaints, we had launched the ‘Romeo-Free Drive’ on Saturday,” says ACP Dharna Yadav.
