At an event to honour freedom fighters in the city, Adityanath addressed a rally and said, “Jo kaum apne itihaas ko sajo kar ke nahi rakh sakti,wo apne bhugol ki raksha bhi nahi kar sakti (the community that cannot preserve its history, can certainly not protect its geography). ALSO READ: New ‘Slender, Beautiful’ Mango To Immortalise UP CM Yogi Adityanath Addressing the rally in Meerut, Adityanath highlighted that there will be no discrimination on the basis of caste, creed and religion and the Yogi government will take everyone along. The UP CM also stressed on the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiiyaan’ and said that cleanliness survey was conducted before the present government was formed in UP, adding that he wants everyone in the state to join Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. The chief minister also said that the focus of the BJP government will be now economic progress in the state. Adityanath said, “Vikas, susashan par dhyan dene ke liye aavashyak hai ki hum jaati, matt aur mazhab se upar uthh kar desh ke vikas ke baare mein soche.” ALSO READ: Walk 10 Steps With The People, They Will Walk 20 Steps With You: UP CM Yogi To BJP Workers Speaking about the Recent Swachh Bharat ranking in which UP did not perform well, the chief minister said, “Only one city from UP is on list of cleanest cities in India and 52 cities on the list of cities that are dirtiest, we will have to change this.” Further speaking about the farmers in the state, Adityanath said that his government has paid Rs 6,200 cr for sugarcane farmers. He also said that farmers can sell their products where they get better price and its not mandatory for them to sell their products only to the government.
