Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Nabam Tuki has asked Governor Tathagata Roy for more time to prove his majority on the floor.
“We have asked for 10 days’ time for floor test, we are awaiting Governor’s reply by the evening,” says Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Nabam Tuki.
Tuki had a scheduled meeting with Governor Tathagata Roy at 1 p.m. on Friday to discuss the matter.
Roy on Thursday reinstated Nabam Tuki as Chief Minister and had asked him to prove his majority on the floor of the assembly by July 16.
Tuki recently made headlines after the Supreme Court Verdict restored Congress government in Arunachal Pradesh.
He welcomed the verdict, saying it is “historic” and has protected democracy.
