The Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) on Wednesday issued notice to Congress veteran and former chief minister of Delhi Sheila Dikshit in an alleged Rs 341 crore water meter scam.

The ACB has also asked summoned Dikshit for questioning in connection with the sam.

During its 49-day stint in 2014, the AAP government had ordered an inquiry into the acquisition of these water meters and three FIRs were also registered against ‘unknown persons’. Special Commissioner of Police, ACB, M K Meena said Dikshit had been summoned as she was also chairperson of Delhi Jal Board (DJB) when the scam allegedly took place.

The ACB issued the notice under Section 160 of CrPC last Saturday, said sources. The anti-corruption body has asked Dikshit to suggest an appropriate place where she can meet with the investigation official to record her statement.
