The unstoppable Arnab Goswami who pioneered argumentative and aggressive anchoring with ‘The Newshour’ on Times Now becoming a household name, has reportedly resigned from his position of Editor-in-Chief with the Times Group.
According to sources, Goswami announced his decision at a recent editorial meeting and is planning to start his own venture. His new venture is rumored to be a news channel that can compete with the likes of BBC and CNN at a global level.
While holding major stake holdings himself, Goswami is reportedly supported by politician and entrepreneur Rajeev Chandrasekhar along with American media baron Rupert Murdoch.
Having joined Times Now in 2006 he became the new face of tv journalism with his fierce style of anchoring and easily sidelined any competitors Times Now may have had.
“The game has just begun” Goswami was quoted as saying during his last editorial meeting.
