In yet another shocking incident, a seven-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped and gangraped by three youth in East Delhi’s Mandawali area on late Sunday night.
According to reports, the incident took place on Sunday night at Yamuna Khadar village in Mandawali, where the girl was sleeping outside her home on a cot. The three youth approached her at around 11 PM, gagged her and took her to a nearby forested area, where they brutulized her for over an hour.
The youth then dumped her near her house and fled away.
The girl was rushed to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital from where she was transferred to AIIMS for better treatment.
Rishipal Singh, deputy commissioner of police (east), confirmed the crime and said that all three accused had been arrested. “Two of them are neighbours of the girl and the third is their friend,” said the DCP.
The arrested persons have been identified as Bhure (19), Amir (21), and Bhim Sen (19) and a case under the relevant sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and IPC has been registered against them.
