After protests against some schools in the last couple of weeks, the parents of students of the Apeejay School in Noida were seen protesting outside the school premises against the steep fee hike.

Not just Apeejay, but parents held a collective protest against all private schools over “unreasonable fee hike”.

The parents whose children are in Apeejay School, DPS, Pathways and Step by Step, among others gathered in Sector 132 on Saturday.

The parents are unhappy with the district administration which has failed to extend help so far.

The parents had earlier met district magistrate NP Singh, city magistrate Bachhu Singh, former HRD Minister Smriti Irani, CBSE officials and local leaders with their grievance.

“We have lost all hope in the government and are left with no choice but to sit on a peaceful protest and take legal recourse. All parents of the district are united and we have decided to protest every week against different schools,” said Abhas Kumar, a parent whose child studies in Delhi Public School, Sector 30.

The parents are likely to file a petition in Allahabad high court also.
