A new National History Museum, which was gutted in a major fire on Tuesday, will reopen in 2017.
According to reports, the new museum will be constructed on 6.5 acres of land behind the Old Fort near Pragati Maidan.
The project will cost Rs. 225 crore and be completed in February 2017.
As many as 35 fire tenders were rushed to the spot when fire broke out at FICCI auditorium in central Delhi.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
