In the wake of renewed Jat Agitation in Haryana, Delhi Police is likely to impose Section 144 in the bordering districts of Delhi & other parts of city which are likely to face protests.
Section 144 states “there would be a complete ban on the gathering of five or more than five people at any place and carrying sticks, axe, sword, knife or any other sharp-edged weapons.”
Jat community has renewed the protest to press their demand of additional quota in government jobs and educational institutions on Sunday.
While Gram panchayats & khap panchayats have decided to opt out of protests this time, All India Jat Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti (AIJASS) is going ahead with the agitation.
The protesters however have assured the state government that they will maintain peace during the protests and will not block roads or railways.
