India’s first bullet train project on Wednesday suffered a major setback after Maharashtra government refused to allow Indian Railways to build most crucial station project of Rs 98,000 crore in Mumbai.

According to the Indian Express report, Railways was planning to construct an underground station at Bandra-Kurla Complex), which is a central business district.

However, the state government reportedly now have told the Railways that the proposed station at BKC would affect its plans to come up with a financial centre at the same place.

Meanhwile, the Railway officials are working out on a plan with the state government to find out a solution to this issue.
