Sneha Sharma, an inspiration to many aspiring women, started her journey on rugged roads with racing cars at the age of 16. Today, after eight years, she is a professional pilot with Indigo airlines and along with being a racing champion.
It was not easy for Sharma to pursue her dream — racing; however, perseverance and passion paved her path without any proper coaching. Sharma used to carry her school books while she was on the racing track so as to convince her parents, who were against racing and focussed more on academics, with shining grades.
Sneha learnt how to pace her life in the right direction and she resumed her passion in 2014 when she returned back to the racing track. Despite living the dream of her parents, she was able to achieve her dream as well.
Within a short span of her career, she earned fame as ‘India’s fastest lady’ in ‘Mercedes Young Star Driver’ program, registering 6 victories and 9 runner-up positions in Karting. Milestone to her achievements was when she scored a 4-stroke category in her very first attempt for Formula Car Race at JK Tyre National Karting Championship 2009.
