Delhi Metro To Sound Proof Its Underground Stations In Phase-III
All underground stations in the phase-III of Delhi Metro will be soundproof.

All underground stations in the phase-III of Delhi Metro will be soundproof.

According to reports, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is using mass spring system (MSS) on 53.8 Kilometer stretch of the new 160 Km stretch to cut down the vibrations.

The new technology will be used in the underground stations of phase-III including Central Secretariat to Kashmere Gate (Line 7); Majlis Park to Shiv Vihar (Line 8); Janakpuri West to Kalindi Kunj (Line 8).

The new technology will help in mitigating the vibrations by separating the track slabs in the tunnels from the supporting structure.

The new technology is expected to protect residential structures, hospitals and heritage buildings and monuments that cross through the new stretch.
