Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday took to Twitter to criticise his own government’s Social Welfare Department for its ‘inhuman’ plan to start an anti-begging drive in the national capital.
Quoting a newspapers report, Kejriwal wrote that, “Most inhuman n futile exercise that social welfare dept cud think of. Am directing them to stop it immediately.”

The report stated that the Delhi Government was palnning to start a 10-day-long drive
in which beggars would be brought to Reception-cum-Classification Centre (RCC) in Kingsway Camp, following which the metropolitan magistrate would decide if the begger would be sent to remand home or let off with a warning.
