An FIR was registered against Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) leader Harak Singh Rawat on Saturday for allegedly raping a 32-year-old woman in the national capital.
According to reports, the case has been registered at Delhi’s Safdarjung Enclave police station.
Similar complaints have been registered against the leader in the past too.
Earlier in February 2014, an FIR was registered against Rawat for allegedly molesting a 30-year-old woman in New Delhi.
Rawat has denied the allegations against them and has declared them false.
The woman, who was a resident of Meerut had submitted a written complaint at Safdarjung Enclave Police Station alleging that Rawat had molested her at a house in South Delhi’s Green Park area in September 2013.
Although the woman could not explain the delay in reporting the case, police had registered an FIR under section 354 and 506.
Rawat was Uttarakhand’s Agriculture Minister in former Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna’s Cabinet.
He again became a cabinet minister when Harish Rawat took over as the new Chief Minister.
