Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Amanatullah Khan, who was booked for allegedly threatening a woman, was sent to one-day police custody by a Delhi court on Sunday evening.
Earlier on Sunday, Delhi police arrested AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan, who was booked for allegedly threatening a woman.
ANI quoted DCP, South East stating “AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan, who was booked for threatening a woman, has been arrested by Delhi Police.”
Reacting to the arrest, Arvind Kejriwal tweeted, “Just in – Modi ji arrests one more AAP MLA. (sic).”
Later, Party workers held a protest in Noida agaisnt the arrest.

The complaint was filed by a 35-years-old woman.
The woman had alleged that the incident occurred when she visited Amanatullah’s place to raise the issue of power cuts with him.
She said that minister did not meet her and while she was returning, a youth came out of the house, abused her and threatened that she would be killed if she did not stop politicising the matter.
