Mayawati Slams BJP For Suspending Dayashankar For 6 Years, Demands His Arrest
Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati on Thursday slams BJP for suspending its Uttar Pradesh unit Vice-President Dayashankar Singh for six years, saying sacking is not enough.

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati on Thursday slams BJP for suspending its Uttar Pradesh unit Vice-President Dayashankar Singh for six years, saying sacking is not enough.

“Removing from party is a normal process. It would have been better if they (BJP) had registered FIR against him,” said Mayawati while addressing a press conference.

“If BJP leaders themselves filed an FIR against Dayashankar Singh, then they would have won my heart,” she added.

BJP on Wednesday suspended Daya Shankar Singh for six years following his alleged obscene comments on Mayawati.

Hundreds of BSP workers on Thursday staged a demonstration in the busy Hazratganj area in Lucknow to protest against the derogatory remarks made by Dayashankar Singh against party supremo Mayawati.
