Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Thursday reshuffled and expanded the State Cabinet after two-and-a-half years since the BJP government took charge of the office for the third consecutive term.

Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Thursday reshuffled and expanded the State Cabinet after two-and-a-half years since the BJP government took charge of the office for the third consecutive term.

Three new faces were inducted in the Cabinet and six ministers were made the Ministers of State. The three new faces inducted in the Cabinet are Archana Chitnis, Rustam Singh and Om Prakash Dhurve.

Among those who were made the Ministers of State are Jaibhan Singh Pawaiya, Harsh Singh, Vishwas Sarang, Lalita Yadav, Sanjay Pathak and Surya Prakash Meena.

Madhya Pradesh Governor Ramnaresh Yadav administered the oath of office and secrecy to these new ministers.

The Chouhan-led government, in its third term, had 18 cabinet ministers and four ministers of state since December 2013.

The expansion was expected in 2014 and 2015, but it did not happen.
