Union Minister Smriti Irani doesn’t like to be addressed as ‘oh dear’ and had locked horns with Bihar Congress President and Education and IT Minister of State Ashok Choudhary on Twitter over the same.
Choudhary tweeted to Irani, addressing her with a ‘dear’ and asking about the NEP. Irani, however, caught on to the ‘dear’ and asked him whether that was how he addressed women.
Chaudhary responded quickly by saying professional mails start with ‘dear’ and that she should pay attention to her ministry instead of hovering over trivial matters.
On Chaudhary’s reaction, Smriti Irani quickly diverted the topic and tweeted:
@AshokChoudhaary Bihar is possibly the only state which has not done grass root consultations for the education policy 2/3

Earlier, Irani entered into a brawl with Congress leader Priyanka Chaturvedi, when Ms. Chaturvedi, while interacting with another person mentioned the HRD minister and said “a perceived threat to @smritiirani’s life gets Z sec, here I am struggling to get rape/death threat investigated.”
