Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday tried to calm the ongoing uproar in the Lok Sabha over the Opposition seeking Prime Minister Modi to be present and speak during the debate in the Parliament.
Rajnath said, “We’re in a fight against corruption and black money in the country. If you have a complaint on implementation then we are ready to debate, but don’t doubt our integrity.
“We have always been open to debate on the issue (of demonetisation) from day one since the announcement. We are all here to speak for the government. But if the Opposition is so much adamant, Prime Minister will come to the House and will intervene,” the Home Minister Said.
As Winter Session of Parliament enters Day 9, no significant process has been made as both Houses get repeatedly adjourned over protests on demonetisation.
