The Winter Session of Parliament which usually convenes around the third or fourth week of November, had been announced to be starting early for early passage of the Central Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Integrated GST legislatures and is now underway.
However following the furore around the demonetisation decision, the currency ban will likely feature prominently in Parliament. Also on the agenda for the 22 sessions of winter Parliament are the Army’s surgical strikes, OROP, an early Budget Session and 15 new bills.
