Senior Journalist Ved Prakash Vaidik on Tuesday urged the Election Commission to cancel the Haryana Rajya Sabha polls held earlier this month.
Polls sparked the controversy after opposition alleged use of wrong pen.
On Tuesday, while speaking with News World India, Ved Prakash Vaidik described this misconduct as a shame for India’s democratic system.
He appealed to the President to block the sworn in ceremony of candidates who have corrupted the democratic system in the country.
Congress on Tuesday decided to register a First Information Report (FIR) in the alleged
misconduct in the Haryana Rajya Sabha Polls against media baron Subash Chandra, BJP MP Aseem Goyal and the Returning Officer present at the polling station at the Chandigarh Police Station.
However, the leaders failed to file FIR as Chandigarh Police denied to register the case, following which the Congress leaders lodged a protest outside the Police Station.
Earlier on Monday, the Congress sought affidavit from its 13 disqualified MLAs seeking the
report stating that they voted for R K Anand in the recent Haryana Rajya Sabha Polls.
Last week, after watching the videography at the Election Commission office Congress,
INLD and Independent candidate R K Anand said that it was BJP-RSS’s conspiracy and he will file another case against them.
While talking to media, Anand took the name of BJP’s Aseem Goyal as the main accused.
