Former IPS officer DG Vanzara’s son Arjun Vanzara caught by Gujarat ACB while accepting bribe of Rs.75000
The son of former DIG DG Vanzara, who was the key accused in the Ishrat Jahan and Sohrabuddin Sheikh encounter case, has been caught by Gujarat ACB while accepting bribe of Rs 75000.
Former DIG DG Vanzara arrived in Ahmadabad in April after court modified his bail condition last week. In April, Vanzara came back to Ahmedabad after 9 years, since his arrest on April 24, 2007, by CID (crime), led by IPS officer Rajnish Rai.
A special CBI court on April 2 allowed him to return home to Gujarat. The court modified his bail condition that had banned Vanzara from entering Gujarat.
Special Judge S J Raje pronounced the order, allowing Vanzara’s bail modification plea. The judge said that the condition of not entering Gujarat and staying within the confines of Mumbai had been removed.
