mauryaFormer Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader, Swami Prasad Maurya, who quit the party on June 22 this year, joined Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) in the presence of the party president Amit Shah on Monday.

The former BSP general secretary left the party on June 22, accusing the party supremo Mayawati of decieving Dalits.

According to reports, Maurya would fly to New Delhi on Monday to join BJP.

A few former BSP leaders, including Shivpur MLA Udai Lal and former MLCs and MLAs are also expected to join him.
