A high alert has been sounded across the Line of Control (LoC) and the Army has been asked to step up the vigil following intelligence inputs on Pakistan-backed terrorists waiting to slip into the Indian territory.
According to reports, a massive manhunt has also been launched to nab the Hizbul Mujahideen militants following the attack in Zadibal area of old city Srinagar on Monday morning.
The two policemen were killed by militants in Jammu and Kashmir’s summer capital on Monday morning when they were regulating traffic.
An assistant sub-inspector (ASI) and a constable were also killed near the mills in Zadibal area of old city Srinagar on Monday.
Terror outfit Hizbul Mujahideen has claimed responsibility for both the attacks.
