Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be meeting three of the top military chiefs of the country together with Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar to discuss the security situation along the Line of Control since the Indian Army conducted surgical strikes in September.
According to reports, PM Modi will discuss defence matters and take stock of the current security situation with Army Chief General Dalbir Singh, Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha and Navy Chief Admiral Sunil Lanba. He will also be addressing grievances of the respective forces.
The meeting is being held in the aftermath of repeated ceasefire violations by Pakistani troops along the Indo-Pak border.
At least 15 infiltration attempts have been foiled by Border Security Force personnel since India conducted surgical strikes on terrorist launch pads across the LoC on September 29, in retaliation of the death of 19 army personnel at Uri.
