Amarnath Yatra was again suspended on Wednesday evening following fresh disturbances in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
The yatra that had been suspended last week following the violent protests that had erupted in the valley following’the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen chief Burhan Wani, was resumed on Monday amid tight security.
While, the death toll related to the ongoing yatra on Wednesday mounted to 10, 23 others were injured.
Also, a bus, carrying Amarnath pilgrims, collided with the truck at Sangam near Bijbehara, 45 kms from here, in the wee hours today, killing two persons-Pramod Kumar of Meerut, Uttar Pradesh and driver Bilal Ahmad Mir of Kangan, Ganderbal, the officials said.
23 pilgrims also received injuries in the accident which took place when the bus was on the way to Jammu from Baltal base camp in Ganderbal district.
