In a latest development in journalist Rajdeo Ranjan’s murder case, the Bihar Police on Wednesday arrested five people.
On May 14, four suspects were detained in connection with the case. Earlier, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had given his consent for a CBI probe in the murder case.
However, on May 16, Director General of Police (DGP) P.K. Thakur said that the state police would continue its investigation till the top investigating agency takes up the case.
42-year-old Ranjan was allegedly shot dead by criminals near the Siwan railway station on May 13.
