An earthquake on Wednesday with magnitude 7.0 struck Myanmar. Tremors were also felt in many parts of North and East India.

According to National Centre of Seismology (NCS), the earthquake occurred at 7:25 PM at the depth of 134 km.

Initial reports highlighted that strong tremors were felt in Kolkata, Patna, Guwahati, Shillong and Delhi.

– 7 hospitalized due to trauma, other two admitted to RIMS in Imphal (Manipur) after injuries

– Delhi metro services briefly halted after tremors

– All NDRF battalions in North East and Bihar put on alert after 7 magnitude earthquake hit India-Myanmar border
