SUNANDAA Delhi Police team, led by DCP (south) Ishwar Singh, has been in the US for the past three and is set to meet FBI officials in order to get an idea on what caused Sunanda Pushkar’s death. According to TOI report, the move to send a team to the US came after the ministry of home affairs (MHA) asked the Delhi Police to expedite the probe and get back the viscera samples from the US. The samples have been lying in the FBI lab for nearly a year now. The agency had given its report in October 2015. Last year, then DCP (south) Prem Nath had visited the US to hand over the samples to FBI. Pushkar, wife of former Union minister Shashi Tharoor, was found dead in mysterious circumstances at a hotel on January 17, 2014. Her body was found by Tharoor when he returned to the hotel in the evening after an AICC session.
