NetaJi BoseAfter a month of release of the second set of Netaji files, Culture Minister Mahesh Sharma on Friday declassified the third set of 25 files pertaining to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose at the National Archives.

The second tranche of 50 declassified files was released last month by the culture ministry. The last batch had 10 files each from the Prime Minister’s office (PMO) and home ministry and 30 files from the external affairs ministry of the period 1956 to 2009.

The Centre had earlier dismissed any political motive behind the release of the declassified files and asserted that 25 files will be released every month.

The first set of 100 files was released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 23 this year. Running into over 17,000 pages, the files contained historic documents.
